West Coast Recycling Services
dba Mission Recycling began
doing business in Pomona, California in the spring
of 2000. The company is run by owner and founder Al Solis. Mr. Solis,
with over 25 years of experience in the recycling
industry, is an innovative and experienced entrepreneur who introduced
the single
stream market concept to the
industry.
Al Solis first
built United Glass Processors into a major
processor before selling that firm to Container Reycling
Alliance, a division of Waste Management. He then turned
his expertise to Quality Paper Fibers and
built that company into the largest processor in California.
Quality Paper Fibers grew to process over 450,000
tons of material from over 110 municipal curbside
recycling programs with annual receipts of over $45
million dollars before Mr. Solis sold the company
to Waste Management. |

With his goal of zero waste unrealized, Al
Solis founded West
Coast Recycling Services dba Mission Recycling to continue
the important work of helping cities, the region, the nation
and the world in achieving the overall goal of zero
waste.
Mission Recycling's success in the industry comes
from hands-on experience and a strong commitment
to customer satisfaction.
In addition, Mission Recycling designs and builds its own processing
equipment allowing it to better meet the needs of the
communities it serves.
Mission Recycling is a company with more than
a financial interest in recycling, we care about our environment.
The recycling industry holds the key to the future
of our planet.
We will continue to
create innovative recycling programs that maximize
the recycling efforts of our business customers and the residents
of the communities we serve.
We understand and support the goals of the
State of California, specifically the mandates of AB
