Mission
Recycling is pleased to
offer an E-waste solution for the communities
it serves. Tens of thousands of computers, monitors, televisions
and other electronic items are replaced every year in California.
These items are considered
electronic waste and while valuable they can be
hazardous to the environment if not disposed of properly.
We will work with companies and organizations to sponsor Community
Collection Events, where acceptable
electronic waste (pdf) will be picked up. Pick-up
of large quantities is available, contact Mission
Recycling for details. Certificates
of Destruction for businesses will be issued upon
request.
Mission Recycling pays CASH REBATES for monitors
or TVs delivered to our facility. All other e-waste
can be dropped off at our center at no
charge.
CASH REBATES FOR:
- computer monitors
- visual display devices
- televisions with screens over 4
inches diagonally
|
NO CHARGE DROP OFF:
- personal computer
- components
- cell phones
- printers
- fax machines
- Inkjet and Laser Cartridges
|
Mission Recycling also offers a variety of fundraising
programs for school groups, religious organizations
and non-profits.
As of February 2005 the Electronic
Waste Recycling Act mandated that it
is against the law in California to dispose
of these materials in the municipal solid waste stream (regular
trash). E-waste recycling helps protect our
environment and keep our planet healthy and beautiful.
